Apologies for the lack of posting which has been due to computer woes which *crosses fingers* are now resolved - yay for being back on line!
following on from my Matalan gloves post I ended up buying a very nice pair of black leather gloves for 7 quid in Primark. We will see how they hold up but in terms of the leather quality they are comparable with the purple M&S pair.
I have a hankering for a purple coat and am intrigued by the unusual flared shape and hood on this one from La Redoute.
One potential problem is that it is from a plus size line and while the sizing starts at my usual coat size (UK 14/US10) I wonder how the fit will be. The second problem is that its potentially over priced (£159) for a High St coat of indeterminate wool content. I'm thinking it will end up in the sale. What do you think?
Vain trifles as they seem, clothes have, as they say, more important offices than merely to keep us warm. They change our views of the world and the world's view of us.
Marks and Spencer have me well prepared for the chilly weather with this beautiful grey cashmere hat (£18) and purple leather gloves (£15) that will be a fantastic pop of colour against grey and black winter coats. Now if I could only remember to take the coats to the dry cleaners. To my shame they have been bundled up ready to go since the end of last winter!
The detail doesnt show up too well in this pic because of Next's use of flash on their web site (very annoying!) but I grabbed this in a short shopping opportunity between trains today. No shopping guilt as I used birthday money!
